L’État français qui pour éradiquer les chenilles stérilise les perdreaux ? Les « citadins » de Bastia et d’Ajaccio avec leurs 4 × 4 polluantes ? Les touristes italiens qui effarouchent les pigeons ramiers en les empêchant de se poser sur les châtaigneraies ? Les voisins de la commune d’à côté, avec leurs « battues et contre-battues » printanières ? Les jeunes du village qui déchargent leur fusil sur n’importe quoi ? Dans l’imaginaire insulaire, chez les derniers représentants de la chasse « traditionnelle », la raréfaction de certaines espèces se traduit par une véritable théorie du complot. À l’origine de la « dénaturation » de l’île, perçue comme le signe avant-coureur d’une apocalypse culturelle, on trouve toujours l’Autre; Who is responsible for the extinction of game in the Corsica hinterland ? The European cereal growers suspected of poisoning thrushes and woodcocks ? The French State sterilizing partridges to eradicate caterpillars ? The “citizens” of Bastia or Ajaccio with their polluting four-wheel drive ? Italian tourists who frighten away the woodpigeons to prevent them from landing on the chesnut groves ? The next town neighbours with their spring battue and counter-battue ? The village youngsters who discharge their rifle into anything ? In the insular imagination carried by the last representatives of traditional hunting, the rarefaction of species is conveyed into a real conspiracy theory. At the origin of the “denaturation” of the island, received as a premonitory sign of a cultural apocalypse, one always find the other one; ZusammenfassungWer ist für den Rückgang des Wildes im korsischen Hinterland verantwortlich ? Die nordeuropäischen Getreidebauern, die verdächtigt werden Drosseln und Schnepfen zu vergiften ? Der französische Staat, der um die Raupen auszurotten, junge Rebhühner sterilisiert ? Die „Städter“ aus Bastia und Ajaccio mit ihren umweltverschmutzenden Geländewagen ? Die italienischen Touristen, die die Waldtauben abschrecken, indem sie sie daran hindern sich auf den Kastanien niederzulassen ? Der Nachbar aus der Gemeinde von nebenan und sein Jagdtreiben im Frühling ? In der Vorstellung einiger Insulaner, vor allem bei den letzten Vertretern der „traditionellen“ Jagd, führt die Verminderung mancher Tierarten zu regelrechten Verschwörungstheorien. In ihnen ist es immer der Andere, der für die „Denaturierung“ der Insel, die häufig als Vorzeichen der kulturellen Apokalypse wahrgenommen wird, verantwortlich ist
