Notes on Some Archive Photographs

<br/><br/> This article presents four photographs from the archives of the SOLIDERE property company. The aim is to show how photography, both as a document and in its representational qualities, is an essential source for an ethnography of urban change in Beirut, part of which, because of successive wars and reconstructions, now exists only in images.  یقدم ھذا المقال أربعة صور فوتوغرافیة من ارشیف شركة سو لیدیر العقاریة. یھدف ھذا المقال إلى إظھار كیف تعتبر الصورة وثیقة بالإضافة إلى إظھار خصائصھا التمثیلیة التي تعتبر مصدرًا أساسیا لأثنوجرافیا التغییر الحضري في بیروت، و التي لم یعد جزء من ھذه المدینة موجود إما بسبب الحروب أو بسبب عملیات إعادة البناء المتعاقبة، إلا في الصور  Dieser Artikel präsentiert vier Fotografien aus dem Archiv des Immobilienunternehmens SOLIDERE. Es soll gezeigt werden,inwiefern die Fotografie als Dokument, aber auch in ihren repräsentativen Qualitäten, eine wesentliche Quelle für eine Ethnographie des urbanen Wandels in Beirut ist, von dem ein Teil aufgrund der Kriege und des sukzessiven Wiederaufbaus eben nur in Bildern existiert.  Este artículo presenta cuatro fotografías procedentes de archivos de la sociedad inmobiliaria SOLIDERE. Pretende demostrar cómo la fotografía considerada como documento, pero también con sus cualidades representacionales, es una fuente ineludible para una etnografía del cambio urbano en Beyrouth donde a causa de guerras y de reconstrucciones sucesivas, una parte no existe precisamente más que en imágenes.  Cet article présente quatre photographies provenant des archives de la société foncière SOLIDERE. Il vise à montrer en quoi la photographie envisagée comme document, mais aussi dans ses qualités représentationnelles, est une source incontournable pour une ethnographie du changement urbain à Beyrouth dont une partie, en raison des guerres et des reconstructions successives, n’existe, précisément, plus qu’en images.
