Perray-Vaucluse. The history of a repurposed hôpital - 2021.

34

This article describes the approach that GHU Paris's psychiatry and neuroscience “Lab-ah” (laboratoire de l’accueil et de l’hospitalité—welcoming and hospitality lab) adopted to support the professionals who used to work at the long-established Perray-Vaucluse Hospital (Essonne) on a cultural and memorial level. When the hospital's activities were transferred to Paris, Perray-Vaucluse had to be gradually repurposed. Practitioners, researchers, designers, and artists are working together on the concept of a “heritage home,” aimed at examining former objects and subjects and better capturing the memory of the hospital's “everyday life.”
