N2  - The goal of this article is to report an original dynamic of collaboration between a socio-medical institution and a university. Spread over five years (2015–2020), this approach uses three main devices: the first concerns the participation of residents in the renovation of the institutional project. The second is centered on two intervention-researches associated with processes of internal evaluation. The third consists in the implementation of democratic health initiatives supported and financed by the Regional Health Agency. We introduce each of these devices to discuss the issues from the point of view of the professional and institutional, training, and research dynamics
