N1 - 38 N2 - The subject of the study is the growing failure of the institutional function of reception and treatment of people in precarious situations in their access to rights and care, especially in mental health settings. The approach is that of an action-research aimed at analyzing and then overcoming the obstacles to attentive listening, a type of listening that is necessary in order to develop an appropriate and possibly co-constructed response with the person receiving care. The method includes, on the one hand, the study of numerous documents and work reports issued within the entire reception network (associative sector, municipal services, and government agencies related to precariousness), and, on the other hand, the organization of a group of professionals from the network (psychologists, social workers, institutional actors…) with group sessions for the expression of the difficulties encountered on a daily basis by these professionals. The results show feelings of despair, fragmentation of work, administrative orders that are incompatible with the psychological reception and counseling profession, a sense of insecurity, etc. A discussion then places this work in a broader context and perspective. Finally, the conclusion discusses the need to overcome the simple observation of precariousness and the prospects for transforming public policies and for regaining, among these professionals, their own capacity for professional response and creativity UR - https://shs.cairn.info/journal-sociographe-2021-5-page-Ib?lang=en ER -
