<subfield code="a">Far from being mere relics of the past, archives harbor a strategic potential that is often overlooked. They are marginalized due to institutional inertia, economic constraints, and a fixed perception that confines them to a passive role. Yet they possess an unexpected strength: They are the golden thread that weaves memory, providing a silent yet fundamental foundation. Like stars obscured by time, they shine without being fully recognized, waiting to illuminate those who wish to explore their depths. This neglect is not inevitable. Rethinking the role of archives means recognizing that they are not just about preserving the past, but also shaping the future. To enhance the value of archives, a paradigm shift is required: Their dynamism must be recognized, they must be fully integrated into documentary strategies, and they must be offered an active role at the heart of modern information systems.</subfield>
