N2  - Des prospections dans la région ouest d’Algérie ont mené à la découverte de deux parois gravées sur les hauteurs de Aïn Kihel à quelques kilomètres, au sud-ouest du village. La présence d’art rupestre n’étant pas connue dans la région, ces témoignages, bien qu’exceptionnels, interpellent sur les liens stylistiques avec l’ensemble rupestre de l’Atlas saharien et les jalons possibles jusque dans cette localité proche de la mer. Cette découverte contribue à mieux connaitre l’expansion de l’art rupestre en Algérie, et aussi ouvrir de nouveaux horizons pour la recherche dans les confins de l’ouest Algérien; Surveys in the western region of Algeria led to the discovery of two engraved rocks on the heights of Ain Kihel, a few kilometers southwest of the village. Since the presence of rock art is unknown in the region, these testimonies, although exceptional, raise questions about stylistic links with the rock art of the Saharan Atlas and possible milestones even extending to the areas close to the sea. This discovery will contribute to a better understanding of the expansion of rock art in Algeria, and also opens new horizons for research in the confines of western Algeria
