N2  - Du 01 juillet 2008 au 31 Août 2008 nous avons réalisé une étude transversale descriptive à l’hôpital psychiatrique de Bingerville (HPB) qui avait pour objectif de décrire les offres de soins en santé mentale dans les structures sanitaires publiques de proximité (SSPP).le but de cette étude était de contribuer à l’insertion des soins de santé mentale dans les soins de santé primaire en Côte d’Ivoire. L’étude a donné les résultats suivants : on notait une prédominance des adultes jeunes (76,70%) et des patients sans revenu (69,90%). Au plan clinique, la majorité des patients (67,96%) étaient à leur première admission avec une prédominance de l’agitation psychomotrice et l’agressivité ((70,88%) comme motifs d’admission. La demande d’hospitalisation émanait majoritairement de la famille (73,79%). La catégorie diagnostique la plus observée (58%) était la catégorie F20- F29 (Schizophrénie, troubles schizotypiques et troubles délirants) la majorité des patients (70,87%) avaient une SSPP dans leur milieu. Une proportion de 18,18% des patients ayant une SSPP dans leur milieu avait eu recours à celle-ci avant d’être référée à l’HPB. La majorité des patients (80,82%) ayant une SSPP dans leur milieu n’avaient pas eu recours à cette structure et s’étaient orientés directement à l’HPB en évoquant comme raison l’inadaptation de la SSPP dans 91,66% des cas. Les patients affirmaient accepter une consultation à la SSPP (94,52%) au lieu de se rendre à l’HPB pour les raisons suivantes : ⦁ les préjugés sur l’HPB (42,03%), • le mode de fonctionnement de l’HPB qui était vécu comme asilaire (14,49%); From July 01st, 2008 to August 31st, 2008, we carried out a descriptive cross-sectional study with the psychiatric hospital of Bingerville (HPB) which aimed to describe the offers of care in mental health in the public medical structures of proximity (SSPP).
