<br/><br/> Between promises of performance and fears of human obsolescence, artificial intelligence (AI) is currently the subject of intense debate. This editorial calls on the management sciences to adopt a critical stance. It proposes moving beyond all forms of techno-determinism and examining how AI is produced by and for organizations. The articles in this special issue explore the development of this technology, its practical uses, and the representations of AI held by stakeholders.
