N2  - The history of the psychoanalysis of children truly begins with the two pioneers, Melanie Klein and Anna Freud, even if before their work Freud himself and some psychoanalysts had been interested in the psychoanalytical exploration of the childish soul. The discoveries brought about by this exploration were essential for psychoanalytical theory and practice, but they sometimes profoundly called into question the previous models. A phobic reaction always tends to face itself in the contributions of the psychoanalysis of the child. Is this one of the reasons why child psychoanalysis remains the poor relation of psychoanalysis?
