N2  - Among the objectives of wars, armed conflict between several political groups, often include the question of borders or the exclusive sovereignty of a political group over a given territory. Victorious wars displace or modify borders. Wars without victors may end in a border status quo. In the South Caucasus, the Nagorno-Karabakh wars, including the third bloody conflict between Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh that broke out on 27 September 2020, are part of this border issue and offer a striking example of the interaction between armed conflict and borders
