<br/><br/> L’article interroge la pertinence du qualificatif de « semi-pélagien » appliqué à Jean Cassien, à partir de sa Conférence xiii et de son contexte théologique provençal. En examinant les critiques adressées par Prosper et Hilaire, et en distinguant plusieurs courants anti-augustiniens, l’auteur montre que Cassien ne peut être assimilé simplement à une position semi-pélagienne. Il propose une synthèse originale entre grâce divine et liberté humaine, à travers une anthropologie spirituelle nuancée.  The article questions the relevance of the term “semi-Pelagian” as applied to John Cassian, based on his Conference xiii and the Provençal theological context. By examining the criticisms made by Prosper and Hilary, and by distinguishing several anti-Augustinian currents, the author shows that Cassian cannot simply be equated with a semi-Pelagian position. He proposes an original synthesis between divine grace and human freedom, through a nuanced spiritual anthropology.
