Entrepreneurial risk: Facing up to responsibilities
- 2019.

Risk and its perception are multidimensional phenomena. The notion of risk-taking is strongly correlated with expected benefits put in perspective by undergone inconveniences. Decisions taken can influence the life of the company and thus the incurred risks. Here is an original and interdisciplinary approach (law and management) to risks incurred by creators and company directors. From a theoretical point of view, the present paper uses the research of Fayolle et al. (2008). Methodologically, this exploratory case study seeks to determine whether the entrepreneur takes risks that are not perceived and that are likely to slow down or jeopardize entrepreneurial activity. After a presentation of the literature, this contribution develops a qualitative methodology by case study. On the basis of a mapping of the risks incurred by leaders during the creation and the phase of growth of the company, the study formulates managerial recommendations.
