34

Although the issue of French urban disadvantaged areas has long been studied by many social scientists (economists, sociologists, political scientists), few studies have been done on them in the field of management. This article takes a managerial approach to this issue. To do this, we focus on the factors promoting or hindering the professional inclusion of people from these areas in two specific domains, recruitment and integration into the company, on the basis of research that we have carried out and existing previous research work. After highlighting the contributions and limits of this research, we propose avenues for improving knowledge regarding the professional inclusion of employees from these urban areas.
