<br/><br/> To question the relationship between imagination, memory, and intellect in Renaissance philosophy, we focus on several claims defended by Marsilio Ficino and Giulio Camillo. Three figures in particular – the artist, the Platonic lover, and the geometer – provide opportunities to reflect on the role played by imagination and memory within the mind, conceived as an inner artist working on his own spiritual matter.
