N2  - Jn 21 doesn’t fail to surprise. Considered as a late addition, what it brings to Johannine Christology is decisive. The first 14 verses seem like a recognition scene, a recognition within the text which calls forth another recognition, outside the text, on the part of the reader. In comparison with the promise of a prophet like Moses in Dt 18:18, Jn 21:1-14 invites us to recognise in Jesus the prophet greater than Moses
