New genomic techniques are revolutionizing prenatal screening and diagnosis, by allowing access to diagnoses of fetal and/or parental conditions that are not always immediately known or visible. These techniques raise many questions, in a sensitive context that is ethically different from postnatal follow-up. The creation of multidisciplinary national and international think tanks is fundamental to consider which important diagnoses or susceptibility factors should be related to the couple during pregnancy.
