Lacan’s concept of “subject” is used to demonstrate the insidious, but nontheless violent subjugation under which the sect holds its adepts. This effect is real, that is to say traumatic. The author also attempts to extend the concept of incest beyond its sexual acception. This leads to the notion of paradoxe as used in systemic family therapy.
