It is generally believed that specific organizations that the author calls pseudo-adjustments freeze the psychic work specific to adolescence. J. Bergeret’s notion of pseudo-latency casts this issue in the light of seduction and trauma, allowing underlying paradoxical positions to be worked through in the therapeutic setting.
