Les Sociétés du dix-huitième siècle norvégiennes, suédoises et finlandaises sont très actives et il est possible d'apprendre beaucoup du travail ayant déjà été réalisé. Cet article se concentre sur l'émancipation des Juifs de Suède et présente un des personnages précurseurs de ce processus, Aaron Isak. Dans la mesure où Isak est originaire d'Allemagne, son histoire embrasse également celle de l'histoire européenne et nous permet de suivre les difficultés du processus d'émancipation par le bas. Son autobiographie est un témoignage fascinant des efforts pour combattre jour après jour les préjugés de l'administration et du monde politique dans une période de transition. L'histoire de la Suède et le destin des Juifs y sont entrelacés. Ce texte, ainsi que sa version traduite de l'original allemand en suédois, dépeint l'histoire d'un succès, celui des débuts de la communauté juive de Stockholm qui avait un passé allemand très riche.  The study of the Enlightenment in the north of Europe is a very interesting and far-reaching field. The Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian and Danish Research societies on the Eighteenth-Century are very active and much can be learnt from the work already done. This article will focus on the emancipation of the Jews in Sweden and presents the pathbreaking personality of Aaron Isak. Since he came from Germany, this history is also a glimpse in the European history and allows us to follow the difficulties of emancipation from below. His autobiography is a fascinating testimony of the efforts to fight day after day against the prejudices of the authorities and of the political world at large in a period of transition. The history of Sweden is interwoven with the Jewish destiny. This text and its new Swedish translation from the German original describes also a success story, the beginning of the Jewish community of Stockholm, which had a long and rich German tradition.
