<br/><br/> Cet article brosse le tableau général d’un demi-siècle d’histoire de la toxicomanie dans la société française. Il commence par exposer la contre-culture et « fléau social » menaçant la jeunesse (1966-1973), puis l’enracinement et la diversification du problème (1973-1980), la massification invisible (1980-1986), les années Sida avec la tension entre guerre à la drogue et réduction des risques (1986-1994), le changement majeur de paradigme de la politique sanitaire qui en a découlé (1994-2002) avant de conclure sur le maintien du cadre restrictif de la guerre à la drogue (2002-années 2010).  This article provides an overview of half a century of drug addiction in French society. It begins by examining counterculture and the “social scourge” threatening youth (1966–1973), followed by the entrenchment and diversification of the problem (1973–1980), the invisible massification (1980–1986), the AIDS years with the tension between the war on drugs and harm reduction (1986–1994), and the resulting major paradigm shift in health policy (1994–2002), before concluding on the maintenance of the restrictive framework of the war on drugs (2002–2010s).
