<br/><br/> Créé en 1947, le programme Fulbright est l’un des principaux moteurs de la montée en puissance des programmes internationaux d’échange après la Seconde Guerre mondiale. En s’appuyant sur les archives de celui-ci, cet article entend mettre en valeur les transformations des objectifs assignés aux mobilités étudiantes et universitaires dans un contexte de guerre froide, les difficultés pratiques qui façonnent la massification de l’internationalisation du savoir, les spécificités des dispositifs bureaucratiques de tri et de hiérarchisation que cette internationalisation met en œuvre, et la complexité de l’articulation entre les objectifs des États-Unis et ceux des pays concernés.  Founded in 1947, the Fulbright Program was instrumental to the growth of international exchange programs following World War II. Drawing on the Fulbright archives, this article highlights transformations in the objectives of student and academic mobility during the Cold War. It also explores the practical difficulties that shaped the popular internationalization of knowledge, the specificities of the bureaucratic sorting and ranking mechanisms implemented during this period, and the complex relationship between the objectives of the United States and those of the other countries involved.
