N2  - The Spanish project “Living the Experience of Adolescence in the Family” targets parents with a high psychosocial risk profile who have adolescent children. It reflects the Council of Europe’s Recommendation (2006) on policies designed to encourage positive parenting, The project is grounded in prevention and promoting parental competences that provide the support for positive parenting. The different programme objective include identifying changes during adolescence, the development of socialization strategies to improve family life, the promotion of healthy lifestyles, controlling the use of new information technologies and the promotion of good family-school relationships. The programme uses a methodology focusing on the sharing of experience in group encounters and is accompanied by rigorous assessment to analyze changes in parenting skills and professional developement. The programme is currently being operated under the aegis of social services and day-centres in a number of different provinces in Spain
