<br/><br/> Dans le contexte de la montée en puissance du tourisme urbain, cet article interroge les effets des dynamiques nocturnes sur un quartier emblématique du centre historique de Palerme : la Vucciria. L’intensification des flux touristiques ainsi que la rhétorique autour de la sécurisation de l’espace public transforme en profondeur les usages de l’espace urbain, également la nuit. Nous examinons comment la « movida » devient un enjeu central de gouvernance locale, entre injonctions au « decoro », mesures de contrôle et résistances. Par une approche ethnographique d’une part, nous analysons l’impact des pratiques de « sécurisation » de la zone sur les pratiques habitantes au regard des dynamiques d’occupation des espaces publics. D’autre part, les récits des médias mainstream ainsi que l’étude de la mise en place en dent de scie de politiques publiques – souvent dans l’urgence – mettent en lumière la transformation de la Vucciria en symbole de movida « dangereuse ». Dans un contexte marqué par la fragmentation socio-spatiale, cette contribution examine comment les politiques publiques transforment les usages nocturnes de l’espace public et les représentations associées, et comment la stigmatisation de certains gray spaces contribue à la gentrification.  In the context of the growing prominence of urban tourism, this article examines the effects of nocturnal dynamics on an emblematic neighborhood in Palermo’s historic center: the Vucciria. The intensification of tourist flows, together with discourses surrounding the securitization of public space, has profoundly transformed urban uses, including at night. We analyze how the movida has become a central issue of local governance, caught between injunctions to decoro, control measures, and forms of resistance. Through an ethnographic approach, we first analyze the impact of “securitization” practices in the area on residents’ everyday practices, with particular attention to the dynamics of public space occupation. Second, mainstream media narratives, together with an examination of the uneven and often emergency-driven implementation of public policies, shed light on the transformation of the Vucciria into a symbol of a “dangerous” movida. In a context marked by socio-spatial fragmentation, this contribution explores how public policies reshape nocturnal uses of public space and their associated representations, and how the stigmatization of certain gray spaces contributes to processes of gentrification.
