N2  - Hélène Antoniadis fut toute sa vie une citoyenne engagée et une scientifique passionnée. De la Catastrophe d’Asie Mineure à la crise économique que vit le pays depuis une décennie, les termes de son existence sont indissociables de l’histoire de la Grèce contemporaine, avec quelques points remarquables : l’entrée, toute jeune, dans la résistance contre l’occupation nazie, la lutte contre la dictature des colonels, son activité, culturelle et politique, au sein de l’AIESEE (Association internationale des Études du Sud-Est européen). Dans le même temps, elle poursuit une carrière scientifique, qui l’a conduite, sous l’influence de Fernand Braudel, à abandonner ses premières études byzantines pour mener avec ses nombreux élèves des recherches sur la Grèce actuelle. From the Asia Minor Catastrophe to the economic crisis that the country has been experiencing for a decade, the terms of its existence are inseparable from the history of contemporary Greece, with some remarkable points : the entry, as a young women, into the resistance against the Nazi occupation, the fight against the dictatorship of colonels, its cultural and political activity within the International Association of South-Eastern European Studies (AIESEE).
