Companies’ ability to adapt to the environment - 2022.

97

This research is an opportunity to examine companies’ abilities to adapt to their environments. Specifically, we aim to establish those factors that provide a competitive advantage in the market. To this end, we apply three theoretical concepts: cooperation, innovation, and capacity to absorb knowledge as organizational learning. In order to measure organizational learning concepts (according to the definition of absorption capacity proposed by Lane et al. 2006) and innovation (referring to the four factors highlighted by Beylat et al. 2013), we analyze various surveys carried out by France’s Service des études et des statistiques industrielles (SESSI) (Industrial Studies and Statistics Service). Our results show that cooperation, organizational learning, and innovation are vectors of competitive advantage for a company.
