<br/><br/> Debates and fights on gender are legion. The need to talk, theorize, and speak the truth about gender seems to be an imperative. These discussions can be divisive, especially when our identities and traditions are at stake. Following the methodology of the hermeneutic circle, we propose to study clinically and theoretically how identities are affected by issues around gender. We present a defense of uncertainty that acknowledges traditions, invites plural and flexible identities, and encourages a renewal of clinical practice.
