A person who does not have access to speech with associated cognitive difficulties (linguistic problems, intellectual deficiencies) has great difficulties with self-expression, making choices and deciding for and by him or herself. With relatively simple non-technological techniques, an attentive partner can enable him or her to better understand subjects he or she is involved in, in order to try to respond or to comment on them. The partner thus contributes to making the communicational environment more accessible.
