<br/><br/> RésuméDans le cadre du séminaire d’ethnologie de l’université de Bâle et de la « politique d’intégration et de développement de la ville » prioritaire du programme gouvernemental, le délégué cantonal à l’immigration s’est vu confier la tâche d’élaborer un modèle et un concept d’action pour une politique d’intégration du futur. En traitant les thèmes d’intégration centrés sur leur mise en place, il est apparu que l’accent exclusivement ethnologique mis sur la culture des immigrés est discutable et mérite d’être complété par une problématique plus socio-économique. Sur l’exemple de la ville de Bâle, on montre quels mécanismes interviennent dans la société pour engendrer l’inégalité sociale et des facteurs inhibiteurs d’intégration.  Within the framework of the ethnologic seminar held at the Basle University and of the prioritary « politics of integration and development of the city » of the government programme the cantonal delegate for immigration was charged to elaborate a model and concept of action for a future politics of integration. A reflexion conducted to this end on emigration themes showed that the immigrants’ culture was not to be considered only from an ethnologic point of view, but within a more socio-economic problematics. On the example of the town of Basle one determines which mechanisms generate social inegality and inhibiting factors of integration.  ZusammenfassungDas Ethnologische Seminar der Universität Basel wurde im Zusammenhang mit der Priorität « Integrations- und Stadtentwicklungspolitik » des Regierungsprogrammes vom kantonalen Migrationsdelegierten beauftragt, ein Leitbild und Handlungskonzept für eine verbindliche Integrationspolitik der Zukunft zu erarbeiten. Bei der Beschäftigung mit umsetzungsorientierten Integrationsthemen ist offensichtlich geworden, dass sich der typisch ethnologische Fokus mit einer Fixierung auf die Kultur der Zugewanderten hin zu einem Blick auf die Diskurskultur der Mehrheitsgesellschaft als interessante Strategie verschieben kann. Am Beispiel der Stadt Basel soll im Beitrag dargestellt werden, welche Mechanismen in der Gesellschaft zutage getreten sind, die wirksam soziale Ungleichheit produzieren und integrationshemmenden Faktoren ermöglichen.
