Comment prend-elle naissance et se manifeste-t-elle chez l'avocat, mais aussi chez la victime, chez l'accusé, chez le juge et les jurés ? Comment la contrôler quand elle parcourt l'audience au point d'infléchir le cours d'un procès ? Cet article, nourri d'une expérience d'avocats d'assises, voit dans la reconnaissance de l'estime de soi une validation cérémonielle de l'émotion dans le prétoire.  Can emotion, omnipresent during trial hearings, be brought from the status of unthinkable to that of thinkable ? How does it originate and manifest itself in the lawyer, the defendant, the judge and the jury ? How can it be controlled when it runs so high that it changes the course of a trial ? On the strength of the experience of prosecuting attorneys, this article sees in the acknowledgement of self-esteem a ceremonial validation of emotion in the courtroom.
