N2  - RésuméLes lecteurs contemporains ou plus anciens de l’œuvre de Pareto soulignent l’importance de la séparation entre actions logiques et actions non-logiques, et par delà entre économie et sociologie. Toutefois, la séparation parétienne des sciences sociales peut être discutée à la lumière des approches récentes de la rationalité, d’une part, et il s’ensuit que la construction de la société que propose Pareto dépend largement de sa conception de l’individu, d’autre part; The specialists of Pareto’s economic and sociological writings, underline that his theory of action is based on a drastic division between logical actions and non-logical ones; the first referring to economic activities and the second to sociological relationships. In this paper, it is shown, on the one hand, that Pareto’s distinction cannot be easily sustained in the light of more recent conceptions of rationality, and, on the other hand, that Pareto’s sociology is based on a particular conception of the individual.
