En immersion dans la famille, le thérapeute peut également envisager sa pratique comme une régulation des fonctions de l’appareil psychique familial. La visite médiatisée se pense alors comme une reprise régulée de la vie familiale, berceau de la vie psychique de chaque enfant. Ce cadre thérapeutique vise à faire des rencontres parents-enfants un espace de subjectivation et de transformation.
