Couldn’t the four-opera cycle be understood as the tale of an epic struggle to achieve the awe-inspiring encounter with the Other, the risk of an intense and uncertain relationship, the openness of two beings to the presence of love – an invitation to listen, with sensitivity and attention, to the voices of hope ?
