Deux exemples appartenant à l’histoire de la psychanalyse mettent en évidence les pièges qui nous guettent, nous incitant à une réflexion sur les objectifs que nous pouvons faire nôtres, et les moyens de les atteindre.  Theory and practice put to the test by patients who consult us after the end of their psychoanalysis. What history can teach us Some patients consult us after the completion of a treatment which we considered had reached its objectives. This can test us both with regard to the way we carry out our work, as well as with regard to our theoretical beliefs. Two examples belonging to the history of psychoanalysis illustrate possible unseen traps that encourage us to think about the objectives that we can set for our treatments and the ways to reach them.
