N2  - À travers quelques moments des histoires autour de l’interprétation des rêves, nous parvenons à envisager sa situation en ce début de siècle. Fragile, elle reste toujours indécidable et loin de correspondre aux expectatives nourries à la fin du dix-neuvième siècle et au début du vingtième. Mouvement à la fois social et d’introspection, cette interprétation visait la compréhension de la folie et de la formation de la pensée. Elle s’est révélée insuffisante. Il n’en reste pas moins que son aventure a apporté des bénéfices inouïs; A journey through some moments of The interpretation of Dreams history gives us a glimpse of its situation at the beginning of this new century. Dream interpretation is always as fragile as it has been and it certainly did not fulfill all the hopes it brought at the end of nineteenth century or at the beginning of the twentieth. It has been at the same time a social movement and an introspection dive, aiming at the explanation of madness and of the origins of thoughts. But it has not been at the height of hopes raised. Nevertheless, its adventure brought unforeseeable gains
