N2  - Certaines représentations voudraient qu’il y eût façon d’incompatibilité entre le corps cancéreux et le corps amoureux. Mais tel n’est pas le cas : parce que le corps amoureux n’est pas que puissance et activité, le corps malade qu’impuissance et passivité. Nous dirons les impuissances du premier, les puissances du second, et espérerons que, assisté de philia et d’ agapè, Éros puisse poursuivre sa vie au temps du cancer; Some representations would have it that there was a way of incompatibility between the cancerous body and the loving body. But such is not the case: because the body in love is not that power and activity, the sick body that impotence and passivity. We will say the impotence of the first one, the power of the second one, and we will hope that assisted by philia and agape, eros can continue its life in the time of cancer
