N1 - 12 N2 - In Lebanon, families of the missing persons during the civil war (1975-1989) are still waiting for their loved one and many testify about their suffering to human rights organizations, journalists and researchers. Involved in committees of relatives of missing persons, these families carry their pain as a banner to defend their cause after sometimes 40 years. À sociology of the use of these emotions and of memory allows me to rethink the place of the interviews in the investigation process. Repeating their narrative, perfecting it with their allies, these families gradually end up experiencing saturation in terms of solicitations reminiscent of their pain. Even more, these affects spread to those who listen to them. The repeated presence of researchers, journalists and human right activists, therefore implies sharing these stories.
