In 1959 the Castrist revolution has been both a shock for the American government and a model for the counter-cultural movements of the sixties. The character of Fidel Castro then provoked numerous representations, often biased because they are linked to a particular context whether it be the return to anti-communism in the eighties or the regime crisis during the nineties.
