<br/><br/> Some representations would have us believe that the cancerous body and the body in love are mutually exclusive. But this is not the case: because the body in love is not just power and activity, nor the sick body mere impotence and passivity. Instead, we posit the impotence of the former, the power of the latter, and hope that, assisted by Philia and Agape, Eros can continue to thrive in times of cancer.
