The pathophysiology involves an immune reaction mediated by T lymphocytes, which attack basal keratinocytes, inducing apoptosis. Dermoscopy is a non-invasive examination enabling the visualization of structures invisible to the naked eye, located at the epidermis, the dermo-epidermal junction, and the dermis.
