<br/><br/> Family secrets can surfaced even without revelation by means of what the psychic apparatus knows from its family history through signs of anguish, psychosomatic manifestations, memories like bleeding wounds before they heal. Family secrets are passed down through generations with difficulties of elaboration in the family apparatus. The children are then confronted with paradoxical messages: on the one hand they empathise with the existence of a speech ban and on the other hand, they feel obligated to act as if they had not seen or heard anything in order not to violate this ban.
