<br/><br/> RésuméLes questions du bruit et de l’écoute ordinaire ont longtemps fait l’objet de traitements séparés en sciences sociales. Cet article défend l’intérêt heuristique de les articuler, à travers une enquête ethnographique sur la perception et la gestion de l’environnement sonore en Belgique francophone. Le croisement des perspectives de l’écoute et de la nuisance permet de décrire la manière dont se développe le sentiment de gêne chez les individus confrontés à une nuisance sonore. Leur capacité à exprimer cette gêne est ensuite examinée.  Noise issues and ordinary listening have long been addressed separately in the social sciences. This paper argues in favor of the usefulness of an integrated approach to both, from the standpoint of an ethnographic investigation on the perception and management of the sonic environment which was carried out in French-speaking Belgium. This heuristic approach – combining listening and noise – makes it possible to describe precisely the process of when the feeling of annoyance comes about and the ability of people to express it.
