<br/><br/> Résumé Dans sa XXXIe Nouvelle conférence, Freud rapproche deux pratiques, la mystique et la psychanalyse, qui toutes deux ont élu « un point d’attaque similaire » : le moi, son indépendance et son élargissement. Freud y voit un « travail de civilisation », conquête jamais achevée, mais qui aujourd’hui avec les conséquences du cadavre d’un dieu-père éparpillé dans le monde, implique de revenir sur « l’inactualité » des liens entre la psychanalyse et « la religion monothéiste ».  In his 31st New conference Freud compares two ways of thinking – mysticism and psychoanalysis – both of which are an attempt to get to grips with the ego, its independence and extension. Freud comes to think about it as a « work of culture », a continuing « work in progress ». But nowadays, with the consequences of the death of God the father, his cadaver scattered across the world, we may need to reconsider the links between psychoanalysis and « monotheistic religion ».
