N2  - De l’accès au trône du roi d’Irak Fayçal Ier, le 23 août 1921, jusqu’à nos jours, l’histoire contemporaine de l’État-nation irakien a été jalonnée de nombreux événements politiques violents, dont des changements de régimes et des guerres, qui ont marqué la vie des Irakiens. Outre ses conséquences politiques, économiques et culturelles, cette violence a profondément déstructuré le tissu social irakien. Souvent contraints à l’exil ou à l’expatriation, les femmes et hommes de lettres irakiens ont été les premiers à rendre compte de cette violence qui a marqué l’identité irakienne contemporaine. Avec différentes histoires et trajectoires, les cinq écrivains irakiens Alia Mamdouh, Inaam Kachachi, Sinan Antoon, Hassan Blasim et Feurat Alani se sont exprimés sur cette terre natale qu’ils ont quitté. Ces cinq auteurs font partie du peu d’écrivains irakiens ayant été traduit en français. Leur œuvre, portant sur l’histoire contemporaine irakienne, marquée par les guerres, se recoupe avec la conscience collective nationale, humainement meurtrie par la violence politique et sociale qui a frappé leur pays; From the accession to the throne of King Faisal I of Iraq on August 23, 1921 until the present day, the contemporary history of Iraq and its people has been marked by numerous violent political events, including three changes of regimes and three wars. In addition to its political, economic and cultural consequences, this violence has profoundly disrupted the Iraqi social fabric. Often forced into exile or expatriation, Iraqi women and men of letters were the first to recount the violence that has marked contemporary Iraqi identity. With different histories and trajectories, the five Iraqi writers Alia Mamdouh, Inaam Kachachi, Sinan Antoon, Hassan Blasim and Feurat Alani have expressed their feelings about this homeland they left behind. The five authors are among the few Iraqi writers whose writings have been translated into French. Their work, focused on contemporary Iraqi history and its wars, intersects with the collective national conscience, humanly bruised by the political and social violence that has struck their country
