Shared Fantasies - 2014.

91

Families of hospitalized adolescent patients in treatment-school facilities and the care teams share common fantasies of separation-adoption, reparation-destruction, and seduction-rejection. In this “adolescent constellation,” parents and care teams regularly find themselves in positions of identification, projection, isomorphism, systematic reflection, and resonance. These phenomena make things difficult for the care teams, but their understanding and elaboration are an opportunity for the patients, their families, and the institution.
