<br/><br/> Jean Carbonnier has published major works in the L’Année sociologique, including the famous article “Effectivness and ineffectivness of the rule of law” (Carbonnier, 1958 a). Author of notes and book reviews, he has highlighted, in sociological terms, the connections between law and theology, logic, political science, comparative law, and legislative sociology. His participation in the life of the Revue as chronicler, director or member of the directorial Committee brings to light and complements an essential body of works.
