Deconstructing Developmental Psychology in Anglophone Countries
- 2012.
87
This paper reviews the critical views on developmental psychology expressed in English texts over the last 40 years. The primary focus of this paper is the history of such critiques in the British context, which is the context I know best. However, this paper also addresses other traditions that have contributed to this critique or created their own frameworks for critiquing developmental psychology. After identifying and reviewing these trends, this paper discusses key issues and debates for further consideration.
