<br/><br/> Freud’s 1905 Psychopathic Characters on the Stage is relatively unknown among psychoanalysts. The few commentaries all use it to attempt to outline Freud’s aesthetics. I shall set out to show that this text is also, and perhaps more importantly, a reflection on the talking cure and more particularly on its direction.
