The author describes a group analytic work during several years, the group ability to transform in a significant way the problematic complexity of borderline patients, and analyze the impact on its own practice and its containment capacity of emotional vestiges linked to a family secret, and revealed by the group working through itself. We show how the resonance of this counter-transference problem appears simultaneously in several groups.
