52

The high number of children receiving psychiatric care raises questions about the development of psychopathology. A variable of interest concerns mentalization, or the capacity to perceive and interpret behaviors in terms of mental states. This article aims to present a theoretical and clinical reflection about mentalizing capacities in fathers and mothers of preschool-aged children receiving psychiatric care.
